A Heart for Ministry
Jay serves as the Lead Pastor of Crossing Community Church with a deep love for God’s Word and a heart to shepherd people with humility, honesty, and care. His desire is to see the church rooted in Scripture, shaped by prayer, and living out genuine faith in everyday life.
Jay and Erica serve together in the life of the church and share a passion for authentic community, hospitality, worship, and encouraging others in their walk with Christ.
Ministry & Background
Alongside pastoral ministry, Jay has served in worship leadership, youth ministry, teaching, writing, and speaking roles across multiple churches. Together, Jay and Erica have spent many years studying Scripture, theology, worship, and discipleship through ministry experience and graduate theological education, while serving faithfully in the life of the local church.
Family & Life
Married since 2004, Jay and Erica have seven children and five grandchildren. Outside of ministry, they enjoy Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, good coffee, football, movies, and cooking for family and friends.

Nikki Streit
A Heart for Ministry
Nikki serves as the Church Administrator and Youth Ministry Director at Crossing Community Church. She has a heart for encouraging students in their walk with Christ and helping create a welcoming environment where young people can grow in faith, build friendships, and study God’s Word together.
Ministry & Background
Nikki began serving at Crossing Community Church in 2018 through children’s ministry before stepping into church administration and youth ministry leadership. She enjoys supporting the life and ministries of the church while continuing to grow in her own faith through serving others.
Family & Life
Nikki and her husband, Dan, enjoy spending time with their family, along with hobbies such as drawing, painting, crocheting, and watching Milwaukee Brewers baseball.
A Heart for Ministry
Cheryl serves as the Children’s Ministry Director at Crossing Community Church with a heart to help children know Jesus and grow in their understanding of God’s Word. Her desire is to create a welcoming and engaging environment where children can build a strong biblical foundation and learn to follow Christ in their everyday lives.
Ministry & Background
Having grown up in a pastor’s home, Cheryl has been involved in ministry for much of her life. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in church music and has served in a variety of ministry areas throughout churches in Minnesota and Wisconsin, including worship, children’s ministry, hospitality, and discipleship.
Family & Life
Cheryl and her husband, Jaymz, have been married for more than 35 years and enjoy spending time with their family. Together they value faith, encouragement, and serving others within the church community.

Jodi serves as the Early Childhood Ministry Leader at Crossing Community Church, helping create a caring and welcoming environment for young children and their families. Her desire is for children to experience the love of Christ from their earliest years while building a safe and nurturing foundation of faith.
Ministry & Background
Through nursery and early childhood ministry, Jodi helps provide loving care, encouragement, and age-appropriate learning opportunities that support both children and parents as they grow together in faith. Jake also serves within the youth ministry, and together they enjoy being part of the life and ministry of the church.
